Last one for now. Lots of penguin-y goodness.

Hi everyone :)

At the end of November, I wrapped up my internship at the New England Aquarium. It was a fun three months that really flew by...I think it's because it wasn't 24/7 living with the penguins and stuff like that. I learned so much during the internship and made amazing friends who conveniently live in Boston so I can continue seeing them, unlike my friends in Texas who I still miss dearly but can't see as much as I want to.

This blog might be retired for a little while because I'm not doing any internships in the near future because I got a full-time big girl job at a vet clinic as a vet tech assistant. While making money it'll be a good way to see what it's like to work in a vet clinic.

But I have a few more pictures of the penguins and this time it's of me feeding the little darlings and giving the penguin talk. These photos were taken by multiple people who came to visit me. Jaclyn, Rose, and Ellie.

Little Blues are very eager eaters.

My best friend, Jahleel.
He's clingy.
See?
I like him.
Talk time! Rocking my Michael Jackson mic.

Love how the floor looks in this shot.

I hope you all have enjoyed hearing about my adventures with penguins and big cats before that. When I go back and visit CARE, I'll post pictures here!! Also, if I have any other animal internships, you know where I'll be updating from. Right here! Until then, have a great day :)

Penguin Talks and Pictures

Hello everyone! :)

I've got some news since I've last updated! First off, I am completely signed off on all the species of penguins so I can feed either the Rockhoppers, Africans, or Little Blues. The Blues are so cute when they eat because they are always really excited and eager during the feeding. They usually push each other off the edge of the rock we feed them at or then end up falling off themselves :) Very exciting stuff.

Since I am signed off on all the penguins, the next step was to learn the penguin talk to present to people. I made my outline, took the basic penguin knowledge quiz, and then did my practice talk.

I have since done my first day of talks and a few since then! That first day was terrifying and exciting at the same time. The other interns are learning their talks too so I won't be the only new person giving them.

If anyone reading this is ever in Boston at the New England Aquarium, the talks are at 11 am, and 2 pm. Feel free to come and listen!

Here are some recent pictures from when I went in for an intern lunch one day. Enjoy!!

My last day is coming up within the month! I don't have a plan as to what I'll be doing after this yet, but I'm excited to see where I end up.

Have a lovely night! :)
